Lebanese Parcel of Love

My siblings and mother recently came back from a short trip to Lebanon and this was my gift ( I do love them so):

Silver earrings encased in ribbon and plastic which was a lovely change from the regular earring cases.
This light beautiful hand painted scarf.
A handmade cow made from crochet, to hang on a door with a real bell!
A hilarious joke of a book my sisters got me, what a difference time has had on society.
Handmade soap with a strong pungent smell of pure clean. Sigh.
Another handmade product: A Lampshade which I have yet to put on display. Absolutely love it tho!
And these beautiful thin rings, one of the evil eye and the other of a butterfly, gorgeous.

Fun Business Cards

Here are two of my favorite business card choices. Its so nice not to see the same thing over and over again. It also make you stand out and so much more memorable to the person you're handing it to.

VW Vintage Car Ad

We learn that to stand out, we need to be different, especially when marketing something so generically boring like a car much less a van. But I do have to say, this ad is commendable. It made me smile and I know I won't be forgetting it anytime soon.

Design: Nest Rest

"Creators of the NESTREST, an innovative new hanging pod woven from supersize strands of DEDON Fiber, Daniel Pouzet and Fred Frety are two of Paris’s most intriguing design talents." Cosy, protective, with it's organic structure, I want and need one of these. Preferably with the lake sil vous plais.

A Different Kind Of Folding Bike

Check this new bike technology out on http://stridala.wordpress.com.

It takes 5 seconds to unfold and carries a whole lot of positives like:

Unlike other folding bikes, STRiDA has. . .
  • a comfortable, upright riding position with superb visibility.
  • the ability to roll when folded.
  • the smallest footprint of any full-sized folder.
  • no gears to worry about. Just pedal and go.
  • the easiest fold. No need to think about complex sequences. You don’t even need to bend down. Magnets do all the work for you.
  • a convenient umbrella shape when folded.
  • a clean, quiet belt.
  • no oily chain or gears. Your trousers stay pristine.
  • a large, distinctive triangular frame as the dominant visual.
  • one-sided wheel mounting for easy tire and tube changes.
  • a short wheelbase. In bike mode, it takes up much less space than most bikes. Pedestrians will thank you. In folded mode, it takes up next to no space.
  • the ability to prop up vertically.
  • a rack that makes a convenient stand when folded.

Prices start at 600 and go up to 1200. My favorite, the LT in cream.
